Question: How do I get my username and password?
Answer: If you have forgotten your username and/or password, a reminder can be sent to you. Navigate to the 'Password Reset' page and enter the email address that you have your account registered with. In a few moments you'll receive a link to reset your password.
Question: How do I view closed auctions?
Answer: Once an auction closes, it remains visible for a short period of time. Unless you are the winner of that auction, you can not view it after that time.
Question: How do I leave feedback?
Answer: Once you have won an auction, you will be asked to provide feedback.
Question: How do I get my username and password?

Question: What does 'Auction Certified' mean?
Answer: In some cases, ContainerAuction personell are able to verify the condition of the containers. ContainerAuction.com can NOT be held responsible for the verification of results. If 'Auction Certified' is not published for a particular listing, this information is not available.
Question: What are your working hours?
Answer: Our corporate office is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm GMT, Monday through Friday, and closed on all weekends and major holidays. Local customer service offices are open from 9:00am - 5:00pm local time, Monday through Friday, and are closed on weekends and local holidays.
Question: The English version is different than the translate version of the website, which is correct?
Answer: The English version superceeds the local version. We do not gaurantee the translated versions of any documentation, legal disclaimers, descriptions, disclosure, etc. Translations are provided solely for customer convenience.
Question: How do I receive notifications on the listings that I am interested in?
Answer: Log in to your ContainerAuction account, then navigate to the listing that you'd like to follow. On that page, you'll see the link to 'Save' the listing. Once the listing is saved, you will be able to find it in your dashboard and will be notified when the auction is about to begin.
Question: How to receive e-mail updates on new items listed on ContainerAuction?
Answer: Log in to your account, and on the notifications page select the criteria that you wish to be notified of, then select 'Daily Update' or 'Real Time Updates'
Question: Can I cancel my bid?
Answer: No, this is why it is very important to be research the listing that you are bidding on and only bid when you are ready to purchase a listing.
Question: I have won the listing, now what do I do?
Answer: After an auction closes, you will receive an email with payment instructions. Follow these instruction and when the payment is confirmed, you will be provided with a release code to collect your containers.
Question: Can I raise my bid even if I'm the highest bidder?
Answer: Yes, just enter the new amount and press the bid button.
Question: Why can't I place bids? I just registered my account.
Answer: Only activated accounts can bid on listings. If you have not fully activated your account you will be operating under limited access. If you have problems actrivating your account, contact Support@ContainerAuction.com
Question: How do I view closed auctions?
Answer: If you are the listing account, you can view all open and closed auctions through your account. If you are not the listing account, closed auctions remain visible for a short time and cannot be see after that time.
Question: Why can't I create a listing? I just registered my account.
Answer: Only activated accounts create new auction listings. If you have not fully activated your account you will be operating under limited access. If you have problems actrivating your account, contact Support@ContainerAuction.com
Question: What does the bid amount include?
Answer: The bid amount on ContainerAuction.com covers the price of the containers and a limited amount of storage time (displayed in the listing). All transporation costs, loading, documentation, taxes, and additional storage costs are not included in the bid amount.
Question: Can I visit the location an inspect the containers?
Answer: Depending on the seller, you may be able to do this. Please contact the seller of the specific listing that you are interested in for more details.
Question: The auction has ended, am I the high bidder?
Answer: All auction participants are automatically notified of their status at the end of the auction. As the auction closes, please check your email or log in to your account and check the status of the auction.
Question: Why as the closing time for the auction extended?
Answer: All auctions are automatically extended for 5 minutes if there is a bid received in the last 1 minute of the auction.
Question: What taxes am I responsible for?
Answer: You are responsible for all taxes applicable in your country. Due to the global nature of ContainerAuction.com, please contact an accountant or attorney for details specific to your area.
Question: How do I pay for the containers?
Answer: When the auction closes, you'll be provided an invoice and payment instructions.
Question: I remitted full payment for the containers but my account still shows an outstanding balance, why?
Answer: There are three possible scenarios: 1. Your payment transfer has not been received yet. 2. You did not pay on time, and Late Fees ($100/day/item) were added to the purchase price. 3. Part of a payment was applied to an outstanding invoice/deposit. According to the priority rules established by sellers on ContainerAuction.com, all payments received can be applied to ANY outstanding invoices/deposits that are under the customer's account. Usually, outstanding deposits are satisfied first.
Question: I've received the release code, now what do I do?
Answer: Once you have received the release code, you are able to collect your containers from the depot or storage facility. You must take the paid invoice with release code, proper identification, and any other documentation required by the local area. We recommend that you contact the depot/storage facility to confirm what is needed before you arrive.
Question: What will I need to collect the containers?
Answer: This greatly depends on the number of containers purchased and the area that they are in. We recommend that you plan for transporation arrangements prior to bidding.
Question: Where to I collect the containers?
Answer: Once the auction has closed, you will be emailed the specific details of where, and when to collect the containers.
Question: How do I sell containers on ContainerAuction.com?
Answer: Once a property is listed for online bidding with ContainerAuction.com ALL bids are required to be placed on the website to foster competition; therefore, there are NO bids that will be considered outside" the online bidding process."
Question: How do I handle bids that are outside the online bidding process?
Answer: For security reasons, you can only communicate with buyers by contacting them through the site's messaging system.
Question: How do I list my containers?
Answer: Only approved sellers can list items on ContainerAuction.com. Before you can begin listing you must request a Seller account. You will then be contacted by an account executive. New accounts may request to be a seller when setting up their account; existing accounts can request to become a seller by following the instruction on their dashboard.
Question: Can I close an auction before it's over?
Answer: No, you cannot. All auctions must expire naturally.
Question: How many containes can I list?
Answer: There is no limit to the number of containers, or listings, that you can create.
Question: How long is the approval process?
Answer: The approval process normally takes only one or two days. ContainerAuction will contact you within one day of your request and sellers are approved quickly after that.
Question: What is a 'Reserve Price?'
Answer: The reserve price is the lowest price that you're willing to accept. This price remains hidden to everyone buy you. If a listing closes above this amount, you are obligated to sell the containers. If the highest bid closes below that price, you are not obligated to sell the listing.
Question: What is the 'Buy Now' price?
Answer: This is the price that you're willing to sell the containers for immediately. If someone places a bid, the 'Buy Now' option is instantly removed. This feature is not required for listings.
