Santa Clause, as everyone knows, uses no known logistical support or services, outside of the North Star and Rudolph's red nose, and all of his cargo is carried in the single sleigh and his bottomless sack; with all of this in mind Santa really has no need to buy or lease shipping containers to carry his toys around the world on Christmas Eve. However, due to the ever increasing population of the world, and the abundance of "good little boys and girls", over the last 50 or so years storage has become a critical issue in the North Pole.
As Santa's elves produce more and more high quality products they typically run out of storage place before final inspection and loading into Santa's magical sack. The solution that we provided was really simple – shipping containers for seasonal storage. Since the additional storage is only needed a few months of the year, shipping containers are moved into Luosto, Finland from Helsinki and other ports and placed conveniently around Santa's production sites. Santa has been able to avoid dealing with the short building season and lengthy permitting process, and shipping containers are much more affordable than log warehouses.
A 20' shipping container is also 8' wide and 8'6" tall, with internal storage space of 1,170 cubic feet – which gives Santa a lot of room to stack and store toys and other gifts for the kids around the world!
