Super Sized Storage - 45' High Cube Containers

04.08.2013 - Posted by Updated On 04.08.2013

45’ high cube shipping containers are a great value based on their size and cost, the only difficult part can be finding them.  45’ high cubes are a problem for some ports because most offloading equipment is geared to handle containers no greater than 40’, thereby limiting the locations that these containers can be unloaded from the ship.

45’ Dimensions and Weight

All 45’ containers are high cubes, making them 45’ long, 9’ 6” tall and 8’ wide.  Unloaded, they weight roughly 9,800 lbs. and have a maximum payload of nearly 63,000 lbs.

45’ high cubes are manufactured from 16 gauge steel panels and the flooring is 1 1/8” thick marine grade plywood.
